I am SO excited.
What would be bringing me so much mirth so early in the morning as I prepare my day? Is it the announcement of a new Star Trek series? No. Is it that Spring has finally Sprung? No. Is it that I had all my money on The King's Speech for Best Picture? Nope. Is it because I was the "love" Natalie Portman was referring to in her acceptance speech? Nah.
The entire first chapter of my forthcoming blognovel is in my head and sticky.
I was grocery shopping with my wife (I don't usually, but I did this time and really should make a habit of it if this is the result) when I let my mind wander somewhere between baked goods and pot roast, it all started falling into place.
I'm not going to reveal anything because, as we all know, Rule of Writing Number Two states: Never TELL your story. WRITE your story.
So, when do I begin? Soon, my friends. I need to set up the site for the blog. I need to design something appropriate for the cover. And I need to do some exercises to get my characters to find their voices.
I can promise you this: It will be different.
