Sleep in Heavenly Peace

Had my sleep study yesterday.

It wasn't bad. I don't mind it. Not even the 12 or so wires they connect to my head and 12 more to my body. I can sleep through anything and it doesn't take long for me to nod off.

The only thing really grueling about it was the quarter-inch thick mound of paperwork where I had to sign at least 20 times and re-enter the same damn information over and over and over. What really kills me about these things -- and the same is true of hospitals -- is that after you go through all that they send someone in to ask you the same things all over again.

*Sigh*

Well. I got through it. It wasn't bad, except for waking up in the middle of the night when my CPAP mask came off and cold air was blowing in my eyes. After an adjustment and a hard time falling back to sleep, it finally settled and I slept through until 6. Granted, I didn't get to sleep until 11 and the last half of it was restless, but still.

So now we wait and see what happens when I get a new machine. Hopefully it'll come with a new lease on life.
